HAUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLL!!!!! .... a mini makeup haul for you!

We LOVE haul videos and blogs! And we LOVE, LOVE getting new stuff!

We decided to do separate our hauls from reviews to shorten the length of the blog and also it gives us more time to really test the products and give an accurate review.  So if anything we will just give first impressions with in depth analysis and recommendations coming much later!

So, the first thing we got was the Beauty Blender Duo Kit which comes with two (2) Beauty Blender sponges and a 5oz liquid cleanser.

This was actually a re-purchase so we can say this product is phenomenal.  The sponges are super soft and look small but expand to about twice its size when damp.  They blend foundation quickly because they cover a large area and the finish is airbrush quality.  The cleanser is not only great for the sponges, but is awesome on regular makeup brushes.

The next item we wanted to try for a while which was the Model In A Bottle makeup setting spray. We got the 2oz orginal formula.

After a short test it seems to be living up to the claims but we'll have to use it a bit longer to be absolutely sure. 

Since Bridal makes up a large portion of our business, another re-purchase was the MUFE Face &  Body waterproof foundation.

We got 6 popular shades and can mix and match depending on the client! Gorgeous dewy finish on the skin and leaves the Bride radiant and ready to face a day of happy tears with no smudging, breaking down or transfer.

Our last product was from a brand we love and have used for a while, Real Techniques, and also my favourite type of makeup product; BRUSHES!!! We have the Core Collection from the same brand in addition to the stippling brush and expert face brush but we have never tried the eye brushes.  At first glance they look pretty small however the face brushes perform so well, we definitely want to give the eye set a fair try.

In addition to these products we also picked up the 252 Eyeshadow Palette from Coastal Scents for our January giveaway.  We wont swatch it or remove the packaging but we can give you an idea of what it really looks like in person. 

The colours are definitely more interesting than we thought they were going to be, so we will definitely have to get another to swatch for you guys and try out some looks with. 

The really cool fact about the palette is, if you find a colour you like, you can order that single colour from Coastal Scents in their Hot Pot line.  This is really convenient in order to grab your favourite colours without having to re-purchase the entire palette and of course the Hot Pot version is much larger than the dime sized shadows in the palette.

Happy New Year! ... is this thing on?

Its a new year and we at Colour Coded Makeup have decided to do all those things we had planned eons ago.  Right now our bucket list is longer than Danielle's locs (which is pretty long) and we realise that if we keep having awesome ideas but waiting for the 'perfect' time to put them in place we may never be able to cross anything off that list.

So with that said, lets get right into it!

Happy New Year to all of our fans, friends, family, clients, affiliates, subscribers, followers, passers-by and innocent bystanders! We are happy to have you with us as we write a new chapter in a journey that although, just barely over two years, has been the most awesome and fulfilling experience of our lives!  We have sooooooooo much more in store for you all and we hope you enjoy every minute of it, WE WILL!

We have decided to finally launch our Blog and will be following with the launch of our YouTube page later this month.  They will act as a platform for us to share all our knowledge, show off our work and projects and interact with our following alot more.  We will cover other things beauty related that may fall outside of makeup since we do love every aspect of beauty.  We will also be doing alot more giveaways and reviews as well as highlighting people, businesses and products that we love and want to share.  Most important of all, we want your feedback so dont be afraid to leave comments or send us emails!

To start the new year right we are hosting our very first giveaway on our blog! And being the first for the year it has to be big right ...
